Ulmke Metals 6000 Series Aluminium Tube
6XXX alloys are heat treatable, have moderate strength and excellent corrosion resistance. A unique feature of the class is the extrudability of the metal which contributes to the class being one of the most prolific. The Foresmo bridge in Norway was made using 6063 alloy and was erected in only few days.
6060 is very well suited to decorative anodizing purposes. 6005 offers higher strength than 6060 but is less suitable for decorative anodizing as is 6082.
